The Presidential Suite of the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, located high above the hustle and bustle of the streets and offering guests an amazing view of the city, proved to be the ideal location for The Peak’s recent Cultural Series Dinner in conjunction with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela’s 200th anniversary celebrations.
Guests sipped on guarapita cocktails, made with the country’s delicious rum, and feasted on a gourmet Venezuelan meal prepared to perfection by Chef Carmen Rawstron, a native of Caracas.
They were also entertained by the lively singing of Baneza Lopez, Javier Lopez, Luis Carlos Perez who together, form the Venezuela Pura band. They delivered their renditions of contemporary Venezuelan standards such as Caballo Viejo, Solo Tu Tienes Derecho, Ironia, De Que Tamano Me Quieres, Mercedes and Sabor De La Pasion.
