Cartier appropriates the enchantment of ancient India and the sublime symmetry inherent in art and cultural artefacts deriving from the ancient Moghul empire, which dates four centuries into the past.

Mille et une heures, a brilliant collection of timepieces, recall the frontiers of Rajasthan, the gates of Jaipur with palaces that resonate with classic silhouettes and orient motifs. Each of these 16 individually crafted timepieces has been honed at the Cartier workshop, necessitating between 500 and 1,500 hours of work each.
