Kenneth Tan takes the new second-generation BMW X3 from The Big Peach to the backwoods of Georgia, USA to discover its soul.

In the concept sketches of the X3, the car looks mean. That sleek feline face, glowering headlamps, gigantic rims and thuggish shoulders combine to say,

‘You best be minding your own business.’

As I rolled into the Peachtree Mansion in the glass and steel commercial district of downtown Atlanta, the physical model that was parked out front bristled with the same kind of energy, that enigmatic brooding of a wolverine caught in melancholic repose.
