The house of Cartier pulled out all the stops for its recent haute joaillerie showcase by hosting a spectacular gourmet event, held over two nights, for one hundred of its most special clients at the first-ever Asian outpost of three Michelin-starred Guy Savoy’s eponymous restaurants.
With its three gleaming towers soaring 200 metres in the air, capped by a stunning SkyPark, while its interiors house a 2,560-room hotel, bustling retail space and a cavernous casino, Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands has captured the imagination and attention of the region’s moneyed and restless ever since it opened in grand style in June this year.
For the international gourmet cognoscenti, however, what really mattered was the introduction of the Sands’ seven haute cuisine restaurants headed by world class names, each one a superstar in his own right. For the high net-worth foodie, it reads like a roll-call of excellence.
In fact, just reading their names out loud is enough to make any gourmet sigh: Daniel Boulud, Tetsuya Wakuda, Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, Santi Santamaria, Singapore’s own Justin Quek and, last but definitely not least, Guy Savoy.
